What goes into your profile?
Qualifications, schooling, skills, work experience, language skills, desired activities, places of work, mobility and availability. You can add documents, work permit, recognition status and any support you need.
How is it assessed?
Before your profile enters matching, it is assessed. For jobs, qualifications, experience, skills, languages and availability count most. For apprenticeships, schooling, knowledge, interests, motivation, languages and start date count – a lack of work experience is no disadvantage there.
What doesn't count?
Origin and nationality are not quality criteria. Work permit and recognition status are shown separately. Our scoring does not replace official recognition.

What does Approved Potentials cost me?
Nothing. Registration, profile, scoring, matching, applications and communication are free for applicants – regardless of which country you come from or where you live.
Can I also look for an apprenticeship?
Yes. When registering, you choose “Find a job” or “Find an apprenticeship” (you can find an internship in the job portal without an account). These have their own criteria such as schooling, interests, motivation and start date – a lack of work experience is no disadvantage.
Can I apply if I already live in Germany?
Yes. Approved Potentials is for applicants from Germany just as much as for applicants from abroad. The process is the same for everyone.
How is my profile assessed?
Before your profile enters matching, we assess your information, qualifications and documents. Missing information is marked as “open”, verified documents count more than self-reported information. Origin or nationality play no role.
What is the difference between score and matching?
The profile score shows how placeable you are in general (category A, B or C). The matching value shows how well you fit a specific opening.
Does the assessment replace recognition of my qualification?
No. Our scoring is an internal assessment and does not replace official recognition. Work permit and recognition status are shown separately. If needed, we support you with the recognition procedure.
Who sees my contact details?
Employers initially only see your first name, activity, place of residence and your information on qualifications and experience. Email, phone and documents only become visible once you accept a contact request.
Can I hide or pause my profile?
Yes. You control the visibility of your profile and can pause and reactivate matching at any time.
Which documents do I need?
Helpful are certificates, proof of qualifications, a copy of your driving licence and – if you come from abroad – your work permit or residence title. PDF or photo is enough.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time. Send us a short email and we will delete your account with all data and documents.
